Earth painting Workshops
Earth painting is easy and accessible for everyone. I love sharing what I know when I can - if a workshop is coming up I will have it posted here for booking into. If you would like me to come and run one for your group, school or similar - send me an email!
You can also take a look at the little manual I have put together, It’s not a complete thesis - and I’m not the world expert, but I wrote it intending that a curious, and intuitive friend might be able to use it as a technical ‘jumping off point’ from where you can begin your own exploration in this special medium.
enjoy, LH x
Join me at my Loch studio where I will share with you what I know about making paint and paintings from earth, as well as brewing and making your own paint colours from some unexpected sustainable sources.
You will spend a productive and thoughtful morning mixing and filling a pan of your own handmade paint to take home. We will also discuss finding your own earth pigments, what to look for and consider if you are interested in going out and collecting your own materials to make paint later.
Once you have made some beautiful natural colours to play with, we can spend time time experimenting and painting together. There is no need to be an artist, or have any experience at all. It’s simply about enjoying yourself and learning a new thing.
