Join me at my Loch studio for a three hour workshop where I will share with you everything I know about making paint and paintings from earth.

I will show you three ways of making earth paints - the hard and fast way I do it in my own work - as well as more traditional ways of making all natural ‘watercolours’ and oil paint. We’ll also discuss finding your own pigments, what to look for and consider if you are interested in going out and collecting your own materials to make paint.

Once you have made some beautiful natural colours to play with, we can spend time time experimenting and painting together. There is no need to be an artist, or have any experience at all. It’s simply about enjoying yourself and learning a new thing.

All materials are included, and you will take home a small pan of handmade earth paints that you have made yourself. You will also receive an e-book I have compiled that contains all the information that we cover in the workshop to refer back to later (so you don’t need to stress about taking notes! Just relax and enjoy yourself). 

Morning tea is also included, provided by Greg in the Little Boy Brew coffee caravan in the courtyard. He can make anything you like, all milks, tea, coffee, chai or chocolate. 

This class is designed for adults, I do run children’s ‘dirty art’ classes from time to time and will advertise them when I do, (but they are not held in my own studio for obvious reasons!)
